Highlights and Reminders
In art, students finished pottery projects.

Students heard the book, Under the Quilt of Night.  We learned about the Underground Railroad and the journey that slaves took to try and get to Canada.  Students practiced asking questions, finding answers, and recording our thinking.  We made an anchor chart for the different strategies when we are trying to answer questions.

In math, some groups continued to work with decimals while others began learning about positive and negative numbers.  Students analyzed Black Friday sales from Toys R Us and solved different math problems using the items.

Book orders are due by Friday, November 30th.

It is the last week to earn pages for the month of November to help our class and school reach the reading goal.  Make sure you keep filling out your slips.
